The Unequivocal Best

Tap Tap • Half Moon Street
At half past four a.m. I am about to enter a hospital. A date with a gigantic tunnel-shaped machine. Loud banging noises that create one hardened surreal experience of a lifetime. On the phone. One of my favorite images of you appears on my wee gadget. We talk. You utter words. Drunken and tearful. And all I can think of is how one day I will miss this. This drunken tearful conversation in the middle of the night. I think I already do.
Now this song erupts. Flash back to Christmas Day. Listening to it in repeat while driving in circles on Bartley Bull Pkwy. Perhaps our own version of Half Moon Street. The unequivocal best.
