An Extravaganza of Merriment and Bliss

Laura Marling – Goodbye England (Covered in Snow)

For the first time in a long time I want it to snow. Cover it all in white paste. Eliminate patches of gray. Muffle noise from the road. Like a sound proof box. Walls bleached.  Floor brushed in ivory. Similar to a chamber in an insane asylum. But nothing here is demented. All is perfectly normal. A holiday that isn’t a part of my religion and yet I religiously celebrate it every year. It’s infectious. The joy. The cheer. I’m a willing participant in an extravaganza of merriment and bliss.
Happy Holidays.

Also, a new Laura Marling is always a reason to celebrate.
